Franklin L. Cogburn, Sr.

AIKEN - Mr. Franklin Lucan Cogburn, Sr., 76, died Thursday, June 14, 2012. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2012 in Historic Bethany Cemetery with the Reverend W.H. Bryant officiating. Mr. Cogburn was a lifelong resident of Aiken, and was a construction manager for several construction companies in Aiken throughout his career. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and served with the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Freeman Cogburn; two daughters, Ellen (Gary) Pace, Jackson, Bettina (Dave) Barone; three sons, Rallie (Becky) Cogburn, Gray, GA, John (Mattie) Cogburn, Graniteville, Frank L. (Rhonda) Cogburn, Jr., Graniteville; one sister, Mary (Clyde) Anderson; one brother, Charles (Mary) Staley; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
