Clayton C. Valley, 68, passed away suddenly on July 4, 2012 in Oxnard, California.
Clayton was born on December 9, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina. Growing up in Aiken, SC, he went on to graduate in 1967 from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the US Army until 1970 and the US Reserves until 1975. He came to Point Mugu, California in 1972 as a US Engineer, and in 1974 he earned his MBA from California Lutheran University, in Thousand Oaks. He moved on from the Government in 1980 starting his 30+ year consulting business, Valley Computer Services, based out of Oxnard, CA.
Clayton was an avid golfer and loved computer science, chess, photography, remote controlled airplanes and history.
He leaves behind his daughter, Angela Vitense and husband Billy; grandsons, Jax and Bode of Edmonds, WA; his beloved mother, Pauline Valley of Aiken SC; sisters, Linda Young, of Clarks Hill, SC and Janet Blaich and husband John of Florence, SC; older brother, Julius Burris and wife Margaret of Columbia, SC and many, many friends across the USA who will miss him dearly.
A service to celebrate the life of Clayton Valley will be held at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, August 1, 2012. Friends and family will receive friends from 12-1. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial immediately following at Sunset Memory Gardens.
