Linda Yount

COLUMBIA, SC - LINDA DANIEL YOUNT, 60, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, GA. Linda was born in Waynesboro, Georgia to Robert E. and Jeanine Turner Daniel. She grew up in Aiken, SC and was a graduate of Aiken High School. She received her masters degree in education from The University of South Carolina. Linda had lived in Columbia for the last 35 years and worked for 37 years at The University of South Carolina, retiring as Director of I.T. for the Division of Student Affairs. She was an avid Gamecock fan. Survivors include her parents Bob and Jean Daniel of Aiken, SC; a daughter, Cynthia Marie Yount of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Pat (Marion) Britton of Aiken, SC and Terri (Ray) Booth of Aiken, SC; three nieces, Lindsay Arave, Hayley Arave, and Stacey Britton; and a nephew, Todd (Liz) Britton and other beloved nieces and nephews from the Yount family in Union, SC. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM followed by a funeral service at 4 PM at Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home with the Rev. Marion Britton officiating.
