GRANITEVILLE, SC - ROBERT OWEN HARLLEE, 73, beloved husband of Ann Morgan Harllee, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at his residence. Born in Cleveland, VA, Bob was a son of the late Harry Thomas and Betty Owen Harllee. He grew up in Florence, SC, lived in Aiken for the last 22 years and was a member of Aiken's First Baptist Church. He worked in Timber Management with the U.S. Forest Service, retiring in 1994. During his 33 years with the Forest Service he traveled the United States responding to forest fires. After his retirement he continued to work with the U.S. Incident Command System Team responding to forest fires and other disasters. While on that team he spent two weeks in New York following 9/11, responded to Texas after the Space Shuttle Columbia explosion and also spent time in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Hugo. Bob retired from the disaster response team in 2007. Survivors, in addition to Ann, his wife of 50 years, include a son, Harry Thomas Harllee III (Mary Kay), Camden, SC; two daughters, Susan Clouse (Michael), Graniteville; Lora Harllee, Graniteville; 8 grandchildren: Robert, Ethan and David Harllee, Chelsea and Matthew Clune, Brian and Aaron Clouse, and Kayla Harllee; a sister, Vicki Hewitt (Jerry),Timmonsville, SC; and four nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Aiken's First Baptist Church with The Reverend Dr. Fred W Andrea III officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews Robby Hewitt, Alan Hewitt, Andy Hewitt, Danny Morgan, Bill Head and Jimmy Hay. Memorial contributions may be directed to Aiken's First Baptist Church, P.O.
