AIKEN, SC - Hoy Burton Jr., Born June 23, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH went home to be with our heavenly Father on July 21, 2012. Preceded in death by parents Hoy Burton Sr. and Lona Stacy Burton; and, infant brothers Donavon Burton and Robert Burton. Survived by wife Brenda Thompson Burton, Aiken, SC. Children Deborah Burton Rhodes (Edward), Plano, TX; Kimberly Burton Dean (James), Shreveport, LA; Kevin Scott Burton (Janet), Coppell, TX. Stepchildren Cory Albers (Heather) Carthage, NC; Mitchell Albers (Jennifer), Aiken, SC; Jennifer Albers Jenkins Aiken, SC. Grandchildren Danielle Dean, Austin Rhodes, Aubrie Rhodes, Aidan Jenkins, Cory Albers Jr. and Jocelyn Albers. Hoy was a former resident of Southern Pines, NC and Plano, TX. Member of Lakeside Baptist Church, retired Vice President of Sales, Chrysler Corporation and former Director of Sales & Acquisition, R. E. Phelon, Inc. Member of Society of Automotive Engineers, Master Mason (50+ years- Wyoming, OH #0186), Scottish Rite (32 Degree) and Shriner. Hoy impacted many lives and was a mentor to young and old alike. Throughout his career, he traveled the World (across 4 Continents) and made many friends along the way. His presence was known by his impeccable dress and charming smile. He left many fond memories that will last an eternity and will be sorely missed by all that knew him. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 PM Friday at the funeral home with The Rev. Tad Marshall officiating, followed by Masonic Rites.
