Susan Lee Henderson

AIKEN - Susan Lee Henderson, 66, died August 3, 2012. The youngest child of the late Harriet Pierce and William Owen Henderson, Susan was born in Glenview, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her brother, William O. Henderson, Jr., and is survived by her sister Harriet DeLaney. Susan moved to Aiken in 1978. During her early years in Aiken, she held various administrative positions for private law firms, as well as the Public Defender’s office. Later Susan pursued a dream to combine her passion for the equine world and business by owning and operating Aiken Southern Saddlery . She is also survived by a daughter, grandson, two nieces, and two nephews. Family and friends are hosting an informal celebration of the life of Susan Henderson Sunday, August 26, from 12-3 PM at the home of her sister, Harriet Delaney, Chasin Farm, 4030 Chasin Way.
