AIKEN – Mrs. Frances Goss Boyd, 76, died Friday, October 26, 2007 at Heartland Hospice, Augusta. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM today in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. Interment will be private. Mrs. Boyd was born in Richmond, VA, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred Mitchell Goss. She was a sales clerk at Roses and a member of Chime Bell Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Ernie Boyd and Herman “Sonny” Waters, both of Aiken, two sisters, Mickey Key, New Ellenton, Lois Moseley, Jackson; a brother, Robert Goss, Montmorenci. In addition to her parents, her husband, Cecil Boyd, her daughter, Cathy Boyd, and her sister, Barbara Cushman, preceded her in death.
