AIKEN – Mr. John Stephen Boatright, 83, died November 26, 2007 at Mattie C. Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Central Baptist Church. Reverend Louie Anderson and Reverend Mike Catoe will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of Central Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Men's Sunday School Class.
Mr. Boatright was born in Sandersville, GA, a son of the late Henry and Lizzie Turner Boatright. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a mechanic, and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Nellie Scott Boatright; two daughters, Mae B. (Lowell) Andrews, Irmo, SC, Maxine Boatright, Aiken; three sons, James R. (Marie) Boatright, Albertville, AL, Tony (Kate) Boatright, Columbia, SC, Wayne (Sue) Boatright, Aiken; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Eloise Doolittle, Augusta; two brothers, Jonas Boatright, Aiken, Gene Boatright, N. Augusta.
In addition to his parents and five siblings, his grandson, Michael Hite, preceded him in death.
