AIKEN, SC – BOBBY RAY RALEY, 74, beloved husband of Ann Harris Raley, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at his residence.
A native of Covington County, AL, Mr. Raley was a son of the late Chester and Allie Bulger Raley. He was a veteran of the US Army and the Alabama National Guard and served in Korea. Mr. Raley had lived in Aiken since 1966 and was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after 26 years of service. He was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors, include his wife Ann; a daughter, Lucy (Louis) Ingram, Dothan, AL; two sons, Johnny Raley and Paul Raley both of Aiken; four grandchildren, Shonda Sellers, Christopher Brannon and Jason Ingram all of Dothan and Brad Raley of Aiken; three great-grandchildren, Emily Sellers, John Thomas Brannon and George Brannon; a sister, Ferolyn Patton, North Berwick, ME and a brother, Kenneth Raley, Andalusia, AL.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Town Creek Baptist Church with The Rev.’s Eddie Grant and Jim Osteen officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Saturday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
