ANGIE RISHER AIKEN, SC - ANDROMEDA "ANGIE" RISHER, 75, widow of Julius Rhett Risher, Jr., died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her residence. A native of Charleston, SC, Angie was a daughter of the late Fritz Leon and Gladys Odelya Bennett Strobel. She grew up in Hampton, SC and was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School. Mrs. Risher had lived in Aiken since 1957, and was a retired secretary in the Personnel Department of the Aiken County School District. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had been a member of Millbrook Baptist Church for the last 30 years, where she was also a member of the Sunshine Ladies. Angie was a loving and devoted mother, was very active in youth activities including church and Cub Scouts when her children were growing up. She was a great cook, and pecan pie was her specialty. Survivors include two sons, Col. Tony (Susan) Risher, USA Ret., Lexington, SC and Maj. Jeffery L. (Becky) Risher, USA Ret., Aiken; five grandchildren, Capt. Ben (Brittany) Risher, US Army, Ft. Stewart, GA, Sarah Risher, Charleston, Matthew Risher, Aiken, Jeremy Risher, Clemson and Caleb Risher, Aiken; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Samantha Risher; and a brother, Fred (Sue) Strobel, Fruitland, MD. Preceding Mrs. Risher in death were her parents; a brother, Chuck Strobel and a sister, Julia Mae Davis. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, with The Rev. Dr. George K. Howle officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM Saturday until the hour of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
