AIKEN – Mrs. Linda Megill Williamson, beloved widow of the late James F. Williamson, entered into rest following a long illness on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center., Aiken, SC
Mrs. Williamson was born on November 30, 1919 in Pensgrove, NJ, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Mayberry Megill, Sr. She spent most of her life traveling with her late husband, James, who was retired from the U.S. Navy. They moved to Kalmia Landing in Aiken from Jacksonville, Fl in 1995, where she resided after his death, until she suffered a stroke, making a move to a Health Care Facility necessary. Mrs. Williamson will always be remembered by family and friends for her beautiful gifts of hand-made crafts, which she loved making.
She is survived by a sister, Justena Megill Rice, Shiloh, NJ, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Frances Ferguson, two brothers, Joseph Megill, Jr. and William Adkins Megill.
Mrs. Williamson’s family wishes to thank Mattie C. Hall, Dr. T. Mark Meyer. Her caregivers, Gwendolyn Hines, Vera Wells, Sandra Clarke, Kenita Johnson, Sadie Scott and Rubena Green for their kindness and devotion to her during her illness.
