CHARLESTON, SC - Jessalyn Waddell Edwards, 23, beloved wife of Eric Edwards, died Tuesday December 11, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. A native of West Long Branch, NJ, Jessalyn was the daughter of Jeff Waddell and Juliann Johnson Foley. She moved from San Diego, CA to Aiken, SC in 1999, where she resided before moving to Charleston three years ago. She was a graduate of Aiken High School Class of 2002. Jess was a cheerleader and played softball while she lived in California. She worked as an assistant manager with First Federal Bank in Charleston. Survivors include her husband Eric, whom she married on September 2, 2006. Her mother Julian (James Price) Foley of Atlanta, GA, her father Jeff (Heather) Waddell of Aiken, two brothers Sean Palmer of Pensacola, FL and Jason Waddell of Atlanta, GA, her maternal grandparents Roland and Jean Johnson of Dothan, AL, and Hank and Mary Ann White of Emmett, AR, paternal grandmother Shirley (the late Edgar) Waddell of Atkins, VA, her maternal great-grandmothers Dixie Johnson of Defuniak Springs, Fl and Florence McBroom of Emmett, AR, her paternal great-grandmothers Annie Waddell of Saltville, VA and Sadie Hess of Atkins, VA, her mother-in-law, Linda Edwards of Aiken, and father-in-law, Stephen Edwards of Aiken. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Curtis Blocker and Dr. Heath Greene officiating. Interment will follow, Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Ridgedale Cemetery in Rich Valley, VA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
