Elois Merle Farmer Hansen

AIKEN, SC - ELOIS MERLE FARMER HANSEN, 89, died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Montrose, MI and raised in Flint, MI, Mrs. Hansen was a daughter of the late William Carl Bingle and Vida Bingel Smith. She was a homemaker and had lived in Aiken since 2005. Mrs. Hansen was a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Sisterhood and was a lifelong volunteer. Survivors include her husband, Jens B. Hansen; children, Pamela Farmer Pethick (David), Patricia Farmer Elmore, all of Aiken; Mark Hansen (Diane), Phoenix, AZ, and Peter Hansen (Kelly), Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Robert Elmore (Jennifer), Kevin Pethick (Carey), Kristen Pethick, Kathryn Morris (Brent), Jane Grange (Steven), Meredith Burney (Richard), Kathryn Glover (Jason), Peter Hansen (Lisa), Steven Hansen (Angie) and Abigail Gonzales (David). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Y. Martin Farmer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at South Aiken Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Dr. Christopher Crotwell officiating.
