Joseph David "Davey" Gunter

AIKEN – Joseph David “Davey” Gunter, 25, of Wagener, died Saturday, December 22, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel. Reverend Chris Addy will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethcar Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Entzminger, John Harvey, Michael Gunter, Jason Quattlebaum, Zack Sturkie and Clint Sizemore. A son of David Henry and Linda Quattlebaum Gunter, Davey was born and raised in Wagener. He graduated from Wagener-Salley High School in 2000, and was a maintenance technician for the Churchhill Commons apartment complex. He loved to play golf, listen to music, help people and watch movies with his fiancée, Karen Collins, who he loved dearly. He was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church. In addition to his parents and fiancée he is survived by his sister, Kristy Gunter Garvin and her spouse Brant Garvin, Wagener; Paternal Grandparents, Henry and Audrey Gunter, Aiken; Aunt and Uncle Debbie and Joe Quattlebaum, Wagener, and Aunt, Lou Durden, Aiken. Aunt and Uncle Barbara and Wesley Gunter, Aiken. His maternal grandparents, L.H. and Mae Quattlebaum, preceded him in death.
