Janet Marie Collard Ropp

AIKEN – Mrs. Janet Marie Collard Ropp, 92, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Reverend Robert T. Byrne officiating. A private interment will be held in Historic Bethany Cemetery. Mrs. Ropp was born in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Broehm Collard. She had been a resident of Aiken for many years, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Ropp, Aiken; son, Richard A. Ropp, Aiken; nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Ropp, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
