William Darrell Garvin

AIKEN – William Darrell Garvin, 62, of Montmorenci, beloved husband of Brenda Osborne Garvin, died Thursday, at University Hospital.. Mr. Garvin was born in Wagener, SC, to the late G.C. and Elizabeth Cothran Garvin. He was a member of the Sweetwater Country Club Golfing Assoc. and was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after thirty plus years. His family and his friends were his focus in life In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, William Travis (Teresa) Garvin of Aiken, SC, and Timothy Samuel (Tonya) Garvin of Yemassee, SC, his four grandchildren Tessa Ready, Terra Garvin, Brittney Harter, and Timothy Samuel “TJ” Garvin, Jr., his two sisters Mildred G. (Greek) Traynham and Ann G. (Mortimo) Gleaton and brother Lloyd (Vilda) Garvin from Wagener, SC, he is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Garvin is preceded besides his parents in death by his brother Gervis C. (Cliff) Garvin, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Chris Addy officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethcar Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Garvin, Terry Zimmerman , Rodney Ready, Bruce Murray, Tim Wright, Bruce McFee, Charles Cushman, and Roger Robbins.
