AIKEN, SC – JEFF BOWMAN, 45, of Aiken, died suddenly Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Jeff was born in St. Louis, MO on August 12, 1962 to Willard M. and Mary Jo Marsh Bowman and grew up in Joliet, IL. He served 9 years in the U. S. Air Force, of which 5 of those years he was stationed in Panama. He came to Aiken in 1992 as the plant manager for B.O.C. Gasses. He was an operations technician with Linde Corp. at the time of his death. Jeff had been a member of the Loyal Order of Moose for 19 years and was a member of the Dixie Thunder Chapter of ABATE. He was catholic. Jeff was a cancer survivor, and for that reason was an annual donor to Locks of Love.
Survivors include his mother Mary Jo Bowman of Bradenton, FL, two daughters, Roxanne Bowman of Aiken and Cierra Bowman of Paris, IL, his fiancée Missy Boatwright and her son Reese also of Aiken. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Teresa Ann.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
