Anna Homich Nayda, 78, of Aiken, SC (formerly of Cairnbrook, Pa, Bridgeton, NJ, Ivanhoe, NC, and Hereford, AZ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 1,2012. Survived by her husband of 55 years, Walter J. Nayda, her daughters Debra Ann (Leon V Tice II) of Schellsburg, PA, and Kimberly Sue ( Andrew St.Clair) of Aiken, SC. and grandchildren, Leon Travis Tice (Heidi Horst) with great-granddaughters, Lucy and Molly, LeeAnn Marie(Jeff Huber), Garrett Bret Tice (Tiffney Miller) with great-granddaughter, Kinsley, and Katlyn Sue Tice. Also surviving are her sisters Helen (Bronislaw Golubinski) of Brooklyn, NY, Judy Ann (William McGraw) of Tucson, AZ, and brother, Michael Homich of Cairnbrook, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her son, Walter J Nayda Jr (Butchie), her parents Anastasia(Nancy) and Nicholas Homich, sisters, Mary (Joseph Hancharick), Susan(Edmond Wisniewski), and Nancy, and brothers Adam, Frank, John, and Nicholas Jr(Wanda Rothrock) and William Robert(Marilou Villafuerte and ex-wife Maria Giannone). Anna was a 1955 graduate of Shade High School, Cairnbrook, PA; while raising her family, she worked at Owens -Illinois, Triton Glass, and Durand Glass (New Jersey), and retired from Holt’s Hosiery (Burgaw, NC). She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and dancing, and will always be remembered for her bright blue eyes, her humor, her laugh, and funny quirks and jokes. She always wished the best for her loved ones and demonstrated her selfless generosity. She will be dearly missed.
