AIKEN - Mrs. Barbara Rose Ransom Duthie, 64, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Mrs. Duthie was born in Tell City, IN, a daughter of the late Alvin Ransom and Mae B. Guillaume Ransom Peter. She was a quality control inspector and owner of Home Cleaning Service. She was a member of Houndslake Country Club, and enjoyed shopping and working in her garden. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband, David Alan Duthie; two daughters, Gretchen Donnelly Sheridan, Longview, TX, Jackie Donnelly Spoon, Aiken; step daughters, Heather (John) Maher, Wharton, TX, Jennifer (Jimmy) Goodman, Houston, TX; step son, Shawn Duthie, Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Ula Winter, Tell City, IN; five brothers, Gary Peter, Indianapolis, IN, Bill Peter, Branchville, IN, Ronnie Peter, Branchville, Glenn Peter, Leopold, IN, Dwight Peter, Tell City, IN. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 8, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Leopold, IN. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
