Sherman Odell Cockrell

Mr. Sherman Odell Cockrell Aiken, SC- Mr. Sherman Odell Cockrell, 73, of Aiken, SC died on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Cockrell was the son of the late Carlos Cockrell and Edith Raborn Cockrell Morris. He had lived in Aiken all of his life and attended Bible Believers Church in Saluda, SC. He formerly worked in the construction industry and enjoyed hunting, fishing, his model airplanes and race car driving on dirt tracks. He will be remembered as a faithful friend and loving husband. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Johnson Cockrell. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave, with the Rev. David Cockrell officiating. Interment in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
