AIKEN, SC – The Reverend Frank Dale Bertrand, 74, beloved husband of Diane Wickett Bertrand, passed away Sunday January 20, 2008 at Aiken Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bertrand was born in Old Town, ME, to the late Frank Joseph and Ruth Preble Bertrand. He had lived in Aiken for thirty five years and retired from E. I. DuPont, SRP. He was a volunteer chaplain for Aiken County Youth Corrections Department, Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Royal Rangers Ministries of South Aiken Church of God. He was also a licensed clergy with Assemblies of God
Survivors include his wife Diane Wickett Bertrand, and his three daughters Deborah (Joe) Camp from Spartenburg, SC, Denise (Robert) Johnston from St. Mary’s, GA, and Danielle (Mike) Hoftstatter of North Augusta, SC, four grandchildren Jonathan Camp, Scott Camp, Karli Hoffstatter, and Austin Johnston, three great-grandchildren Cassandra Camp, Emily Camp, and Makenzie Camp, and two sisters Sharon Bertrand Carroll from Old Town, Maine and Cora Bertrand LeVasseur form Old Town, ME.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at South Aiken Church of God with The Rev. Bruce Fox, Rev. Dr. William R. Johnston, Rev. William Moss, and Rev. Joe Camp officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Robert Johnston, Mike Hoffstatter, Joe Camp, Scott Camp, Chris Hickman, and Roger Rollins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd, Aiken, SC
