AIKEN - Mr. John Marvick "Jack" Donhowe, 86, died Saturday, December 1, 2012.
Mr. Donhowe was born in Story City, IA, a son of the late Melbourne and Charlotte Marvick Donhowe. He moved to Aiken several years ago, and taught at South Aiken High School. Before moving to Aiken, he was a former nuclear physicist and professor at Wisconsin University. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as a B-26 navigator with the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mi Cha Park Donhowe; a daughter, Maren D. (Peder) Gaalaas, Grand Rapids, MN; five sons, John (Patricia) Donhowe, Seattle, WA, Erik (Vicki) Donhowe, Hebron, KY, Rolf (Colleen) Donhowe, Turtle Lake, WI, Mark (Cathy) Donhowe, Newark, DE, Dan (Irene) Donhowe, Switzerland; step sons, Sylvester Glover, Tucson, AZ, Michael Glover, Columbia, SC; 12 grandchilden; two great grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte "Shoonie" Hartwig, Roseville, MN.
