Geraldine "Geri" Mahoney McGill

NEW ELLENTON, SC - GERALDINE MAHONEY "GERI" McGILL, 82, widow of William Wilkinson "Bill" McGill, Jr., died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her residence. A native of Alpena, MI, Mrs. McGill was a daughter of the late Thomas and Grace Vam Mahoney. She was christened in the Lutheran faith and had lived in New Ellenton since 1957. She retired following a longtime career as a bank teller and bookkeeper in New Ellenton. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia "Patti" McGill (John Joseph) Ewing, Anderson, SC; a son, The Honorable William Kearse "Mack" McGill, Sacramento, CA; two grandchildren, David Joseph (Leslie) Ewing, Greenville, SC and Rebecca Grace Ewing, Anderson, SC. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Patricia Mahoney Meyer in 1992. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Noon at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM.
