AIKEN – Mr. George D. Huebner, 75, died Sunday, December 16, 2012. A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Reverend Robert T. Byrne will officiate. Mr. Huebner was born in Clinton, IA, a son of the late Harry Carroll and Selma Andresen Huebner. He attended the University of Wisconsin, and received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Following college, he served with distinction in the United States Army. He then began a long career in sales and sales management for various chemical companies, ending with 14 years at Air Products and Chemicals. Mr. Huebner loved his family, was an avid golfer and Green Bay Packer fan. He was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Woodside Plantation Country Club, and was formerly involved with the Friends of Faith organization. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Wandrey Huebner; two daughters, Deborah (Douglas) Williams, Kansas City, MO; Kristin (Brent) Wogahn, Eau Claire, WI; a son, Andrew (Marsha) Huebner, Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Jessica Rubenking, Kimberly Wogahn, Kyle Wogahn, Ashley Williams, Drew Huebner, Meghan Huebner, Carley Huebner; great grandchildren, Destiny and Alex Rubenking; sister, Sandra Pearlman, West Lafayette, IN; as well as several nieces and nephews.
