AIKEN, SC – MANNING JONATHAN HALL, 87, widower of Hazel Hall, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 at his residence.
A native of Swainsboro, GA, Mr. Hall was a son of the late Leon and Pearl Giles Hall. He was a veteran of World War II having served as a paratrooper in the 17th Airborne Division. Mr. Hall had lived in Aiken since 1951 and retired from DuPont at the Savannah River Site. He moved to Hilton Head Island after his retirement in 1978 and returned to Aiken in 2002. He was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church and loved to fish, shrimp and hunt.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara (Lowell) Kendrick of Aiken, five grandchildren, Ann (Chip) Poston, Janice (Ed) Heuck, Karen (Rusty) Hutson, Gary (Tammy) Kendrick and Jackie Kendrick, nine great-grandchildren, Jonathan Bryant, Joshua Bryant, Jennifer Poston, Kristy Yaun, Jeffery Wilson, Jr., Adam Bridges, Kayli Asbill, Garrett Kendrick and Tyler Kendrick and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the graveside in Southlawn Cemetery on Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Braswell officiating. The family will receive friends at their residence.
