NEW ELLENTON, SC - Mrs. Carrie Blackstone Harley, 86, died Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend David Holdman and the Reverend Edgar Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Johnson, Jr., Chris Weathers, Clay Weathers, Guy Weathers, Jonathan Weathers, Josh Weathers and Jason Blanchard.
Mrs. Harley was born in Pinetucky, GA, a daughter of the late Thomas Patman and Essie Mae Talton Blackstone. She was a homemaker, and member of Grace Covenant Church of God. She was a loving wife and cherished mother of five children.
She is survived by her loving husband, Julian A. Harley; four daughters, Sandra (Jim) Alexander, Charlotte, NC, Charlotte (Richard) Johnson, Augusta, GA, Gloria (Wendell) Blanchard, Augusta, GA, Kaye (Victor) Holland, Hephzibah, GA, a son Jim W. (Theresa) Riley, Evans, GA; a step daughter, Sharon Rose Clark, Augusta, GA; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
