AIKEN – Elizabeth Wilson Baumann, 88, died Monday, February 11, 2013.
Mrs. Baumann was born in Pueblo, CO, to the late Grace Barker Wilson. She moved to Aiken in 1955 and worked as a chemist for EI DuPont. Mrs. Baumann was an early pioneer as a female chemist at the Savannah River Laboratory. She retired in 1993 and became active with the Lifelong Learning Program at USCA.
She is survived by a daughter Barbara Baumann (Michael Conrad), Gaithersburg, MD; a sister-in-law, Alice Rahmeier, Salina, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Paul Baumann.
Funeral services will be held privately.
