Caroline Grosso Lowry

AIKEN, SC- CAROLINE GROSSO LOWRY, 49, beloved wife of Douglas S. Lowry, died suddenly Tuesday, February 26, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Darby, Pennsylvania, Caroline was a daughter of Anthony and the late Madeline Celentino Cestone. She grew up in Philadelphia and moved to Aiken in 1991. She was a finance manager for Verizon Federal Network at the Savannah River Site. She loved football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. She also enjoyed cooking, miniature golf and spending time at the beach. Survivors include her husband, Douglas; her father, Anthony Cestone, Darby, PA; a step-daughter, Mia Lowry, Middletown, PA; a step-son, Tanner Lowry, Philadelphia, PA; a sister, Tracy (Paul) Anderson, Ridley Park, PA; a brother, Anthony (Gina) Cestone, Spring Valley, PA; three nieces, Lauren Cestone, Katlyn and Brittany (Blake Meyers) Anderson; five nephews, Matthew Anderson, Nick, Anthony, Kevin and Chris Cestone; a great-niece and great-nephew Makayla and Carter Meyers. The family will receive friends in Aiken Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Darby, PA. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Broomall, PA under the direction of Cavanagh Funeral Home, Norwood, PA.
