Lecia Bonnie Aman Fuchs

Lecia Bonnie Fuchs went to be with Jesus on March 1st, 2013 with her family by her side. Her memory lives on in her husband of 28 years, Randy; their three sons, Austin (and his wife Andrea), Jerod and Trenton, her parents Gordon and Yvonne Aman of Elk Grove, CA, a brother Craig (and his wife Judy) of Lodi, CA, and a sister, Lynn Wagemann of Elk Grove, CA. Lecia was born on December 7th, 1960 in Elk Grove, California. She graduated from Elk Grove High School before completing her Bachelor’s degree at Point Loma Nazarene University. In 1984, she met, fell in love with, and married Randy Fuchs. In every aspect of her life, Lecia’s love for God was her wellspring. She gave every person that she met the rare opportunity to witness a life spent in dedication to her Creator. Lecia was a devoted mother, first and foremost. She spared no expense of time and energy to raise her three boys. Every breath in her life was drawn in service of others—and her family came first. Her love for her family was borne of an intense compassion that was woven into her very DNA. She viewed her role as a mother in synonymy with the Father’s—she was the loyal defender, the passionate protector, and the emotional compass for her family. Lecia’s love for her family is nearly matched by her love for singing. She was an incredibly gifted vocalist—it was her medium of praise to God—and she was an integral lead worshipper in many praise teams and choral groups. She also performed at many weddings for close friends and family, most recently at the wedding of her oldest son in a flawless rendering of The Lord’s Prayer. Her classically trained voice provided a texture of emotion yet control in every rendition and it is a testament to her unique talents that so many wanted her timeless performances to be a part of the narrative of their onceinalifetime occasions. Lecia was an amazing friend to everyone. Upon meeting her, one felt an immediate closeness that is so rarely replicated. She had a way of destroying the emotional barriers and diving into close relationship with the people around her--frequently hearing the life story (sometimes with surprisingly candid details) within minutes of meeting a complete stranger. She was passionate, loyal, and fervent in her friendships. Her sense of humor and ability to dissolve conversation into laughter and joy was as unique as it was vital to the people in her life. She left an imprint on everyone she came into contact with. In short, Lecia was the best of us. She is gone too soon. The depths of pain that we feel at her passing will never be forgotten and can only be matched by the gratitude we feel for having such a remarkable, special person in our lives for as long as we did. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Shellhouse Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday at Cedar Creek Church with the Rev. Phillip Lee officiating. at 10:00am on Tuesday.
