William Gary Anthony

AIKEN – Mr. William Gary Anthony, 70, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Anthony was born in Hickory, NC, a son of Rassie Campbell Anthony of Aiken, and the late William Frank Anthony. He had been a resident of Aiken since 1984. He was Vice President, Director of Leasing for Wyatt Development. He was a member of American Legion, Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. He served in the US Army’s 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam, and received the Purple Heart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Davis Anthony; two sons, William Todd (Belinda) Anthony, Aiken, Gary Scott Anthony, Aiken; four grandchildren, William Thomas Anthony, Alexandra Lynn Anthony, Emily Raven Anthony and Ivy Scott Anthony. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jean Anthony. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P.O.
