AIKEN – Mrs. Barbara Gay Stevens, 72, beloved wife of the late E. N. Stevens died Saturday, March 16, 2008.
Mrs. Stevens was born in Commerce, GA to the late Theo and Ula Faye Vaughn Swindle. She had lived in Aiken for 39 years and was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church. She retired from Automatic Switch Company.
Survivors include her two sons John Allen Eubanks and Michael Harold Eubanks (caregiver), six grandchildren Rebecca Eubanks, John Eubanks, Jr., Anna Freeman, Sarah Alvarado, Naomi Eubanks, and Benjamin Eubanks, three great-grandchildren Carmen Alvarado, Krystian Dohrzycki, and Isabella Eubanks, her sister Witona Mantarri of North Augusta, and brother Tillman Swindle of Roswell, GA. Pallbearers will be John A. Eubanks, Michael H. Eubanks, E. Wallace Rabon, Mark Stowell, John Davis, and Cliff Ashley. The family would like to especially thank Hospice Care of South Carolina.
The Panikhida service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 at Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with Father Thomas Moore officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7 PM Tuesday and 1:30-2:30 PM Wednesday at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave., Aiken, SC. Interment will be at Aiken Memorial Gardens Wednesday at 3PM
