Clarise Haile Beard

LEXINGTON, SC – Mrs. Clarise Haile Beard, 85, died Monday, April 22, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at North Trenholm Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Wilson and Rev. Dr. R.L. Brown, Jr., Hospice Chaplin, officiating. Visitation will also be held at the church an hour before the service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Quattlebaum-Anderson Sunday school class. Mrs. Beard was born in Columbia, SC, a daughter of the late Clarence Neil and Lessie Alma Hammond Haile. She was a lifelong resident of the area, was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and also was a long time member of North Trenholm Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. Prior to this, she was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist where she served as GA director. She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl B. (Rick) Thomas, Columbia, Loretta B. (Jimmy) Appleton, Lexington; son Randy (Marie) Beard, Evansville, IN; six grandchildren, Katherine Leigh Thomas, Meredith Ashley Thomas, Theresa B. Fallow (Lawrence), Jeremy Randal Beard, Justin Everett Beard, Lacy Haley Appleton; two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Seth Davis; two sisters, Sally Gilliam, Aiken, Dodie Lee, Aiken; brother, Clarence N. Haile, Jr., Sumter, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Randal Beard, Sr.; four sisters, Ruby Seay, Alma Reger, Irene Vanmansart, Marjorie Haile.
