Martha Helen Metts

AIKEN - Martha Helen Metts, 86, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Taylor Wells officiating. A lifelong resident of Aiken, Mrs. Metts was a daughter of the late Roy and Blanche Cook. She spent her career as an LPN for 43 years working for the Aiken County Hospital. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Class. Mrs. Metts loved to work in her yard and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her son, Jerry Metts, Aiken; three grandchildren, Robbie Rushton, Steven Bradley Metts and Jerry Ryan Metts, and six great grandchildren. Her beloved husband Joseph Brantley Metts, a daughter Brenda Kay Metts and her brother, Jack Cook, preceded her in death.
