Jack Appel

AIKEN, SC - JACK H. APPEL, 79, died peacefully Friday, June 28, 2013 at his residence. A native of Wilmington, OH, Jack was a son of the late Ralph Franklin Appel and Helen Henry Appel. He was first married to the late Barbara Martin Appel and then to the late Paula Robinson Appel . He worked for a number of years for Kawneer Corporation, first in Niles, MI and then in Harrisonburg, VA. Jack then joined EFCO Corporation in Monett, MO where he served as Executive Vice President until his retirement in 1998. He had lived in Aiken since August of 2012. Survivors include a daughter, Tracey Kenney (Mike), Linden, VA; two sons, Marty Appel (Brenda), Aiken, SC and Jeff Appel (Sherry), McGaheysville, VA; three grandchildren, Sara Kenney, Justin Appel and Jonathon Appel; two sisters, Martha Burton, Columbus, OH and Nancy Davis (George), Portsmouth, OH. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the graveside in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg, VA.
