Betty Hill Raines

AIKEN – Mrs. Betty Hill Raines, 87, widow of Virgil “Buddy” Raines, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at her home. A native of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Raines was the daughter of the late Robert and Blanche Hill. Mrs. Raines was a member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church. She enjoyed walking, playing tennis, going to the races and dancing with her late husband. She will be loved and missed by all that knew her. Mrs Raines is survived by her daughter Linda Raines Luzzi and son-in-law John B Luzzi Sr., of Rockledge, Fl.; grandchildren, John Luzzi, Mike Luzzi, Christin Luzzi, Trinity Galarza, Nicole Nemeti Stewart; great grandchildren, Katelynn Luzzi, Brooke Luzzi, Lane Luzzi, LaRue Luzzi, Jessa Luzzi; great great grandchildren, Brandon Galarza, Chloe Galarza, Shane Stewart, Maela Stewart, Lilah Stewart and Kaydence Quintana. Mrs Raines is also survived by her two nieces, Barbara Vostinar and Jan Vostinar, both of Manistee, MI. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Raines was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Peluso.
