John Adam Paulus

AIKEN – Mr. John Adam Paulus, 89, died Monday, July 15, 2013. Mr. Paulus was born in Glen Ridge, NJ, a son of the late Alfred and Alice Wirth Paulus. He was a former city manager for Mt. Lebanon, PA, Rye, NY and Ridgewood, NJ. He was past vice president of the International City Management Association, an elder in the First Presbyterian Church, a longtime Rotarian, a Kiwanis member, a member of the Community Associations Institute and the American Society of Public Administration, and in Aiken, a member of the Kalmia Landing Association. He also served in the US Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jean Post Paulus. He is survived by his son, Robert DuVall (Diana) Paulus, Chester, VA; two grandchildren, John Isaac Paulus, Chester, VA, and William Vance Paulus, Fort Hood, Texas; and a brother, Alfred Alan Paulus, Mt. Lebanon, PA. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 29, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, Aiken. The family will receive friends in the church parlor following the service.
