Dave Robinson

AIKEN – Mr. Dave Robinson, 93, beloved husband of Ilie Mae West Robinson, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, at 3:00 PM at Millbrook Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Chris Masters and the Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brooks Robinson, John Wood, Scott Gorrell, Steve McColskey, Craig McColskey, and Bob Taylor. Born in Newport, TN to the late James Edom and Nelle Rowe Robinson, Mr. Robinson served his country during WWII in the Navy. After moving to Aiken in 1953, he spent his career working for EI Dupont, SRP and became a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. Mr. Robinson also coached Little League baseball. He is survived by his three sons Dave Stewart (Martha) Robinson, Jr., Balletine, SC, Randy (Lorie) Robinson, Aiken, SC, Danny (Deborah) Robinson, Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Catherine Mae (Bob) Morgan, Rhett Stewart Robinson, Miranda Michele (Chris) Church, Blake Selby (Sloan) Robinson, Daniel Brooks Robinson, Malinda Eileen Robinson; great grandchildren Emily Mae Morgan, Parker James Church; sisters Peggy McColskey, Jacksonville, FL and Jane Gorrell of Newport, TN. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by sisters, Nelle Rowe Morrell and Elizabeth Taylor. Memorials may be directed to the Millbrook Baptist Church Mission Fund, 223 S. Aiken Blvd., SE, 29803.
