AIKEN - Mr. Leonard Kennedy “Ken” Yaun, 55, died Monday, July 29, 2013 in Charlotte, NC. Ken was born in Aiken, SC and was a son of Leonard A. (Martha) Yaun, Jr., and the late Kay Sylvia Kennedy Yaun. He lived in Charlotte for the last 13 years. Ken was a former member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church. Survivors include his two sons, Christopher Yaun, Charleston, SC, Benjamin (Kristina) Yaun, Charleston; a sister, Julia (Jeff) May, Aiken; brothers, Edward (Rita) Yaun, Kissimmee, FL, Greg Yaun, Clearwater, SC; three aunts, Jewel Turner, Patricia (Don) Pennington, Elizabeth (Gary) Sanderson; an uncle, Andrew Yaun; and cousins, Lloyd (Mary Pat) Yaun, David Turner, Julie Ann (Edward) Couch, Whit Pennington, Lee Pennington, Matthew (Sandra) Pennington and Brae (Jason) Williams. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Amy R. Stertz officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery.
