AIKEN – Mrs. Nellie Scott Boatright, 81, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Mike Cato officiating. Interment will be held privately in the Central Baptist Church cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boatright was born in Twin City, GA, a daughter of the late Luther and Bessie Davis Scott. She had been a resident of Aiken since 1959 and was a retired seamstress. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Mae (Lowell) Andrews, Irmo, SC, Maxine Boatright, Aiken; sons, James R. (Marie) Boatright, Albertville, AL, Tony Boatright, Tucson, AZ, Wayne (Sue) Boatright, Aiken; daughter in law, Kate Boatright, Columbia, SC; 12 grandchildren, Steven Boatright, Anthony Boatright, Jennifer Henry, Justin Andrews, Amy Boatright, Cecilia George, Luke Boatright, Emily Boatright, Leann Davis, Kim Rhodes, Kelly Sandifer, Jeff Feemster; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Graham, Twin City, GA; brothers, George Ray Scott, Metter, GA, John Scott, Twin City, GA.
In addition to her parents and husband, John Stephen Boatright, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Michael Hite and three siblings.
