AIKEN, SC - Travis Gray Miller, 85, beloved husband of Bobbie Lee Goff Miller, died Monday the 21st of October 2013 at his residence. A native of the Hollywood Community in Saluda County, SC, Mr. Miller was a son of the late John Jacob and Lucia Belle Perry Miller. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Medical Corps. He retired from BellSouth in Aiken after 38 years of service. He was a member of Charles Wesley United Methodist Church where he was a Trustee and a member of the Men's Club and Building Committee. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Bobbie Miller; two daughters, Wanda Diane Butdorf (Keith) of Anderson, SC, and Brenda Lee Willing (Alan) of Aiken; a son, Travis Brian Miller (Bridget) of Aiken; grandchildren, Matthew Butdorf, Jeremy Travis Butdorf, Jacob Ramsey (Heather), Emilee Ramsey, Kristina Miller, Martina Gray Miller; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Ramsey; a sister, Lola Rae Aull of Lexington; four brothers, Vaughn W. Miller of Lancaster, L. Hilton Miller (Geneva) of Aiken, John W. Miller (Donna) of Aiken, and Roger Miller (Barbara) of Saluda; and brother-in-law, Wayne Goff of Saluda. In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by two brothers, Smith Harold Miller and Ansel Miller. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday the 24th of October at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, 715 Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, with The Rev. Jim Bennett officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens, 1523 Edgefield Hwy, Aiken, SC 29801. Pallbearers are Don Miller, Gary Miller, Robert Aull, Jake Ramsey, Matt Butdorf, and Jeremy Butdorf. Honorary Pallbearers are Glenn Miller, Richard Miller, Darren Miller, Mike Polk, Tony Miller and Ashley Miller. Memorials may be made to Charles Wesley United Methodist Church, 3510 Trolley Line Rd., Aiken, SC 29801; or Hospice of Tri-County-Aiken, 2130 Woodside Executive Ct., Aiken, SC 29803.
