AIKEN, SC – McCOY RANDOLPH, 80, beloved husband of Betty Jean Johnson Randolph, died Wednesday the 30th of October 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Poplar, NC, Mr. Randolph was a son of the late Frank and Sarah Tipton Randolph. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps in Korea. He had lived in Aiken since 1954 and was a retired supervisor in the reactor department for DuPont at the Savannah River Plant. Mr. Randolph was a loving husband, father and family man with a kind gentle spirit. He was a big fan of NASCAR and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Betty, include two daughters, Angela Stone Osbon, Donna Osbon (Jack), all of Aiken; a son, Brian Keith Randolph (Wanda), New Ellenton, 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Troutman, Roan Mountain, TN, Joann Adkins, Poplar, NC and a brother, Edwin Randolph (Betty), Aiken.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 1st of November at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday the 2nd of November at 11 o’clock in the morning at the funeral home with Mr. Randolph’s grandson, The Rev. Alex Osbon officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jason Randolph, Joshua Randolph, Eric Adams, Austin Adams, Jerry Peterson and Dave Golding.
