Jeannie Marie Fox

AIKEN, SC – Jeanette Marie “Jeannie” Fox, 47, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at her Aiken residence after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL, raised in Charleston, SC and lived for the past 2 years in Aiken, SC. She was the second of three children of Harold and Margo Fox. Jeannie joined Shaw Group in 2006, working in the Charlotte office for the MOX Project Construction Department. She was responsible for supporting the estimating department, where she was critical to project documentation deadlines. She transferred to Aiken and was promoted to the engineering department to provide technical editing and writing support. Her father predeceased her in 2005. She is survived by four children, LCpl. Darren (Meghan) Burnham, USMC, Jacksonville, NC, Christine Burnham, Columbia, SC, Timothy Burnham, Charleston, SC and Melissa Burnham, Aiken, SC. She is also survived by her mother, Margo Fox of Charleston, SC, a sister, Kathi Tomsu of Stevensville, MT and a brother, Kevin Fox of Rockledge, FL. She is also survived by the newest addition to the family, Caleb Michael Burnham, her first grandchild, born four days ago. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church with The Rev. Anthony Batung as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC. Jeannie believed in receiving flowers while she could still enjoy them.
