BARNWELL, SC – Ms. Donna Jean Cole Dempsey, 56, died Friday, November 1, 2013. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home. Born in Barnwell, Ms. Dempsey was a daughter of the late Ras and Betty Irene Selleck Cole. She spent her career working as an electrician supervisor at SRS. Donna will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her fiancée, Loy Mitcham, Sr., Aiken, SC; two daughters, Tracey Jean Dempsey, Aiken, Lisa Marie Dempsey, Aiken; three sons, Skylar Mitcham, Loy Mitcham, Jr., Devin Mitcham; grandchildren, Rose Allanna Sweetnam, Christopher Riley Sweetnam, Sandra Jean Sweetnam, David Obadiah Dryden Smith, Raiden Mitcham; and a brother, Michael Cole of Colorado Springs, CO.
