Myrtie "Myrt" Bell Egbert

Aiken- Myrtie Bell “Myrt” Egbert, 65 died at home May 31. She was born in Aiken to Charles Bell and the late Frances Goldman Bell. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken, member of New Covenant Praise Church, member of Shaws Creek Hunting Club, Poboys Hunting Club and retired from banking. She is survived by her loving husband, Norman Egbert, and loving children, Cheryl Egbert (Jorge) Brooks, Deryl (Butch) (Angela) Egbert and Scott (Lynn) Egbert, of Aiken. Other survivors include grandchildren, John (Trey) Lowe,III, Clifford (CJ) Lowe, Alicia Lowe, Christian Egbert, Mikayla Egbert, Tosha Redd, Ian Egbert, Joshua Hagberg, Samuel Hagberg, Daniel Hagberg, Isabela Egbert, Megan Egbert, Jacob Hagberg, Alivia-Grace Egbert; great grandchild, Brandon Lowe; sisters, Lois Morrison, Ethel Walker, Ellen Shelley and a brother, Rudloph Bell all of Aiken. Pallbearers will be Tracy Krauss, Richard Shelley, Ron Shelley, Kevin Shelley, Jacob Walker, Julian Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Rhett Robinson, Rudy Bell, Randy Krauss, Kyle Guenther, Fred Krauss, and Joseph Langford. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Monday at Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael T. Butler and Rev. Mike Cato officiating. Interment will follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to MCG Cancer, 1120 15Th St., Augusta, GA 30901 or New Covenant Praise Church, 265 Wire Rd., Aiken, SC 29801. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Sunday at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave., Aiken, SC.
