AIKEN, SC – JOHN WILLIAM KYLE, beloved husband of Denice Stephens Kyle, died Saturday evening, the 9th of November 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Clarksburg, WV, John was a son of the late Brooks Spurgeon and Greta Morris Kyle. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Desert Storm and advancing to the rank of Sergeant First Class before retiring after 27 years. He made Aiken his home since 1955 and was a retired supervisor with DuPont and Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site. John was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, American Legion Post 26, Forty and Eight and DAV.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Denice, include three daughters, Lydia Harrison, Bainbridge, WA, Malissa Beckner, Aiken, Elizabeth Cebuia, Charlotte, NC; two step-sons, Andrew Augsburger and Matthew Augsburger, both of Lima, OH; 5 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild.
The family will receive friends beginning at ten o’clock Thursday morning the 14th of November at Trinity United Methodist Church followed by funeral services at eleven o’clock. The Reverend Dr. Larry Parker will officiate. Interment with full honors will follow Friday afternoon at one o’clock at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
