AIKEN, SC- WILLIE ROY CLARK, 83, beloved husband of Mattie Lyla Clark, died Monday, November 11, 2013.
Mr. Clark was a native of Lineville, AL, and a son of the late Henry Arthur Clark and Sallie Sprayberry Clark. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and had made Aiken his home since 1953. He retired from E. I. duPont in the Operator Power Department. He was a faithful member of Millbrook Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Usher for many years, as well as a member of the Whittlers.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Janet Lee Clark (Michael) Story, Conyers, GA; a son, Samuel Roy Clark, Aiken, SC and two grandchildren, Allison Story, Asheville, NC and Jessica Story, Conyers, GA.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Millbrook Baptist Church. The Reverend Dr. Chris Masters will officiate. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens with military honors. Pallbearers will be Tom Campbell, Bill Vaughn, Earl Heath, Emory Kirk, Bobby Hayes, Bob Gatanis. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Millbrook Whittlers, Richard Church Sunday School Class, John Longshore and Billy Hyde
