Rodney Adams

AIKEN, SC – RODNEY ADAMS, 83, beloved husband of Betty Haynes Adams, died Saturday, the 16th of November 2013 at UniHealth Post Acute Care in North Augusta. A native of Holcombe, WI, Mr. Adams was a son of the late Clarence Oliver and Bessie Zerbach Adams. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Adams was a self-employed builder. He was an avid hunter, and taught a hunter safety program in Montana, teaching over 1000 students. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; a daughter, Susan L. Borchardt (Jon); two sons, Rodney O, Adams (Theresa), Vancouver, WA, Gregory D. Adams (Heidi), Castle Rock, CO; six grandchildren, Curtis Borchardt, Adam Borchardt, Christina Almsted, Kerry L. Adams, Brittany Harrison, Christie Harrison; four great-grandchildren, River Almsted, Finley Borchardt, Floriana Borchardt, Avery Borchardt; a sister, Hazel Murray and a brother, John Adams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a son, Mark Alton; three sisters and eight brothers. A memorial service will be held on Friday the 22nd of November 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church with The Rev. Jeff Erbskorn officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
