AIKEN – Mr. Robert Anthony “Tony” Cato, 57, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Aiken Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jim Kirk and the Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dehart, Coy Sharpe, Andy Lewis, Bob Zion, Rusty Lee and Brent Sharpe. A lifelong resident of Aiken, Tony was a son of Robert Lee and Carolyn McDaniel Cato. He was an E&I Mechanic at SRS and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Tony loved to hunt and fish. He was a big Clemson and NASCAR fan and coached his boys Little League Baseball. Tony has had a long and hard battle with MS for the past twelve years but will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son and Pappy. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife Jeannie Robinson Cato; two sons, Chad (Gina) Cato, Aiken, Chase (Stormee) Cato, Aiken; three grandchildren, Weslei Lowry, Kayson Cato, Karmyn Millstead; a special daughter, Treva Millstead; a sister, Beverly (Rusty) Lee, Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Vicky (Wayne) Redfern, Hephzibah, GA; a brother-in-law, Coy Sharpe, Aiken, several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Joe Dehart. Memorials in Tony’s name may be directed to a charity of ones choice. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22 from 5-7 PM at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC.
