Jerome Miles

AIKEN, SC - JAMES JEROME "J.J." MILES, beloved husband of Vivian Stovall Miles, died Thursday the 21st of November 2013 at Veteran's Victory House in Walterboro, SC. A native of Fitzgerald, GA, he was the son of James Garland and Nettie Head Miles. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean War. He retired as a draftsman working for E.I. DuPont SRS. He was a active member of Millbrook Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting, and J.J. was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Stovall Miles; a son, Jimmy Miles of Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, Scarlett Ildiko Kass of Aiken, SC, Joseph Tamas Kass of Aiken, SC, and Caroline Niland of Charleston, SC. J.J was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Miles Kass in 2012. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Sunday the 24th of November 3:00 PM at Southlawn Cemetery with The Reverend Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Davis, Graylin Jay, Jeff Jay, Tom Lucas, Mark Lucas, Danny Stovall, Warren Fulghum, and Paul Grant. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Chapel Sunday School Class. Internment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to Millbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 223 South Aiken Blvd. SE, Aiken, SC 29803.
