Marc Norton

AIKEN, SC – MARC WAYNE NORTON, 54, died the 14th of November, 2013 at his residence. A native of Victoria, TX, Marc was a son of Edwin Ray Norton and Margaret Meyer. He graduated from Aiken High School and received his BS in Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University. Marc was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church where he was a former member of Boy Scout Troop 121 and became an Eagle Scout. He worked in the ceramic engineering field. Survivors include his parents, Ed and Claire Norton, Aiken, his mother, Margaret Meyer, Houston, TX; two brothers, Michael Ray Norton and his wife Leigh, Aiken, Ensley Adams, Aiken, nieces, Lauren and Allie Norton; Grandmother, Elma Steed, Jackson, SC; aunt, Priscilla Polson, Jackson, SC; uncle and aunt, Jim and Harriette Meyer, Victoria, TX. Marc was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Allie Meyer, Eugene Steed, Edwin Weber Norton and Thelma Harris Helrigel. A memorial service will be held Monday, the 25th of November at 11:00 AM at St. John’s United Methodist Church with The Rev. Dr. George K. Howle officiating. Inurnment will be in the church’s columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service in Ward Hall.
